Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how uConnect Technologies PVT LTD ("uConnect", "we", "us", or "our") collects and uses your information when you use Proposala ("the Service", at proposala.com). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and password (stored in a secure, hashed form). If you join a workspace, we also store which workspace and team you belong to.

Content you add: the job posts you paste, your profile details, your past projects and portfolio, templates, and the proposals and drafts you create in the Service.

Usage information: basic technical data such as the actions you take in the app, your credit usage, and logs that help us run and improve the Service.

Payment information: when you buy credits, the payment is handled by Paddle. We receive a record of the transaction (such as the pack, amount, and status), but we do not collect or store your full card details.

2. How we use your information

• Provide the Service, including scoring jobs, matching past work, and generating proposal drafts.
• Manage your account, workspace, and credits.
• Process purchases through Paddle.
• Keep the Service secure and prevent abuse.
• Improve the Service and fix problems.
• Contact you about your account, purchases, or support requests.

3. AI processing

To create scores and drafts, we send the content you provide to trusted third party AI providers, such as Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, and DeepSeek (including through hosting partners like Together AI). These providers process your content only to return a result to us. We choose providers that we believe handle data responsibly. The provider we use may change over time as we improve the Service.

4. Payments

Payments are processed by Paddle.com, which acts as our reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle collects and handles your payment details under its own policy. Please read Paddle's privacy policy to understand how it handles your data.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

• AI providers, to generate your scores and drafts (see above).
• Paddle, to process payments.
• Hosting and infrastructure providers that run our app and database.
• Service providers that help us send email or keep the Service secure.
• Authorities, if the law requires it.

6. Data storage and security

We store your data using reputable cloud hosting and database providers. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect it, such as encryption in transit and hashed passwords. No method of storage or transfer is fully secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

7. International transfers

We are based in Pakistan, but some of our providers (including AI and hosting providers) may process your data in other countries. By using the Service, you agree to your data being processed in those countries.

8. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as long as we need it to provide the Service or to meet legal requirements. You can ask us to delete your account and data.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• See the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct information that is wrong.
• Delete your account and personal information, where we are not required to keep it.

10. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are needed to run the Service, such as keeping you logged in. We do not use cookies to sell your data to advertisers.

11. Children

Proposala is not meant for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top. Using the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
